“Hospital-wide, we couldn’t be more excited to welcome our 12th class of residents to YRMC and Yuma County,” said Dr. Kristina Diaz, Director of the YRMC Family Medicine Residency Program. “Their arrival marks the beginning of a new chapter filled with opportunities for growth and learning. We are committed to providing a supportive environment where they can thrive and make meaningful contributions to patient care and the community.”

YRMC launched its residency program in 2013 to address the national shortage of primary care physicians. Since then, 58 family medicine doctors have graduated from the program with a 100% board passing rate, along with four sports medicine fellows.
