Onvida Health is proud to announce a $15,000 donation to the Gadsden Elementary School District #32 Marching Band to help fund their upcoming trip to the 2025 London New Year’s Day Parade. This gift highlights Onvida Health’s commitment to fostering community growth and supporting programs that enrich the lives of young people.
The renowned band, which has wowed audiences in past performances in London, received their formal invitation to return for the prestigious parade earlier this year. With a goal of raising $30,000 for this year’s trip, Onvida Health’s contribution brings them significantly closer to making this dream a reality for the students.
“The Gadsden Elementary School District Marching Band’s opportunity to perform in the London New Year’s Day Parade is not just an amazing achievement for these students, but a reflection of the strength and spirit of our region,” said Machele Headington, Senior Vice President of Marketing & Communications at Onvida Health. “We’re honored to help make this dream come true and encourage others to contribute, so together, we can give these talented students a chance to shine on the world stage!”
The Gadsden band has long been celebrated for their excellence, gaining recognition both at home and abroad. Their return to the London parade is a testament to the band’s reputation and talent.
“Parents have been working really hard nonstop to fundraise and every dollar counts,” said Jesus Quintero, Gadsden Band Director. “Onvida Health’s donation is going to alleviate some of the burdens the parents have. I’m proud to see the community giving back to its own people.”
Onvida Health is rooted in the community, and initiatives like this reinforce its dedication to enhancing the lives of the diverse communities it serves.
