Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC) and Arizona Western College (AWC) announce the highly anticipated Healthcare Symposium, “Research Transforming Communities: Diverse Perspectives,” taking place on Sábado, Septiembre 28, 2024, at AWC. This event will highlight how healthcare research is making a meaningful impact on our communities and welcomes healthcare professionals from all fields. Attendees will have the opportunity to take part in insightful presentations, join panel discussions, network with peers, and explore exhibitor offerings.
“Each year, the symposium creates an environment of positive change where healthcare professionals can connect to expand their knowledge and build relationships for future collaborations and advancements,” said Trudie Milner, PhD, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at YRMC. “In particular, we encourage submissions for poster presentations. Showcasing innovative research and ideas that drive our field forward is a vital component of the event. Participation in the symposium is key for fostering new insights and advancements that impact patient care and community well-being.”
Poster presentations can include a range of topics, including original research, clinical trials, quality improvement, population health, process improvement, innovation, and entrepreneurship within the healthcare sector. The top three posters will be awarded prizes: $300 for first place, $200 for second, and $100 for third.

Posters should be submitted using the designated online template. While formal presentations are not required, researchers must be available during the symposium to answer questions. Authors of the top three posters will be invited to deliver brief presentations.
