On Friday, August 9, Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC) recognized more than 400 employees celebrating milestone anniversaries. Together, they represent a combined 6,481 years of outstanding service and dedication to patient care, the organization and our community.

“I am proud of our YRMC team’s valuable work and their commitment to building a healthier tomorrow. Our annual awards banquet is one way we recognize this dedication,” says Dr. Robert J. Trenschel, President & CEO of YRMC. “To everyone being recognized at this year’s event, we value your talents and contributions. Today and every day we celebrate you.”

This year’s theme, “Treasure Awaits,” perfectly summarizes the spirit of the event. YRMC employees, who are the true treasures of the organization, are celebrated and recognized for their remarkable contributions and unwavering dedication.

The honorees include employees from various departments and roles within YRMC. Among those recognized are nurses, physicians, providers, administrative staff, support personnel and many others who play a vital role in ensuring a positive patient experience.

The event recognized employees celebrating five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 20, 35 and 40 years of service. Employees celebrating 30-40 years with a combined total of 410 years of service, include:

40 years of service

  • Maria Porchas – Pediatrics and Women’s Services
  • Nita Hudsick – Respiratory Services

35 years of service

  • William Bennett – Maintenance

30 years of service
