In a dedicated effort to improve the availability of medical services throughout the region, the Foothills Medical Plaza will bring an expanded array of services to East County residents. The new medical plaza was designed to create an environment where patients can receive a full complement of services in one location. The two-story facility will offer emergency services, primary care, pediatric care, women’s health services, podiatry, imaging services, and a retail pharmacy. The location also features an on-site café for the comfort and convenience of patients and their families.
Every three years, YRMC conducts a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) that analyzes local and statewide data, but more importantly, it incorporates feedback from more than 700 Yuma community residents. A common theme in past assessments was the necessity for comprehensive care options in East County.
“The new Foothills Medical Plaza represents YRMC’s unwavering commitment to meeting the community’s needs and delivering high-quality services,” said Trudie F. Milner, PhD, Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer at YRMC. “When East County residents voiced the desire for better access to primary care services closer to home, we knew we needed to not only deliver but exceed expectations. As we cross the finish line, I can confidently say we’re proud of what we’ve developed and are unveiling to those who inspired it, our community.”
The clinic portion of Foothills Medical Plaza will focus on three major areas of primary care: family medicine, pediatrics, and women’s health. It will also offer podiatry care, with the intention to expand specialty care in the next year.
Scheduling of appointments for clinic services will be available starting Wednesday, July 26. For all services and inquiries, residents may call 928-336-4000 and be directed to the appropriate department. YRMC Foothills Medical Plaza is located at 11351 South Frontage Road.
